Patch Summary

To review the content available within the Syxsense console, start by navigating to the Vulnerabilities tab in the Console menu. Then, select the Patches tab within the Vulnerabilities sidebar.

Once the Patch Library view has populated, you will see a long list of patches arrayed in a table with the following information which is used for filtering the content.

Important Information

Patch scans can take 2-5 minutes or longer to complete, we recommend scanning all devices every day.

The information about the patch is provided from the vendor except for the CVSS score which is an independent severity scoring system.

The Device Status Breakdown area includes dynamic functions to allow you to scan or deploy these patches easily.

Title	The name of the patch and the vendor name
Description	The description of the patch provided by the vendor
Severity	The vendor severity
Publish Date	The date the patch was published
CVSS	The independent CVSS score
Active	Yes - This patch included in a deployment task No - This patch is not included in a deployment task
Auto Fix	If enabled, this patch will be deployed during a scan task if the patch is detected
Reboot is Required	The vendor has indicated this patch requires a reboot
Public Aware	The method to expose the vulnerability is publicly aware. Publicly Aware vulnerabilities are often weaponized and therefore should be prioritized before they become weaponized.
Counter Measure	An alternative solution exists where the patch can be mitigated, see vendor for full details
Weaponized	The vulnerability is currently being exploited. Weaponized vulnerabilities should be treated as Zero Day and deployed urgently.
Devices Need this Patch	The number of devices that have been scanned and need this patch
Devices Not Yet Checked	The a number of devices that have not yet been scanned for this patch
Devices Do Not Need this Patch	The number of devices that have been scanned and do not need this patch
Devices Have this Patch	The number of devices that needed this patch and have been deployed successfully
