Inventory Scan

Inventory Scan is a recurring process that allows collecting the latest hardware and software information to use it for the system analysis.

The Inventory scanning tab allows an ad-hoc scan to be performed against the currently selected endpoint.

Additionally, by selecting multiple endpoints, or a site, query or group from the devices tab, an Inventory scan can be deployed to a subsection of the devices currently connected to the Syxsense console

Important Information

Inventory scans are performed every day automatically but can be run manually at any time.

Both hardware and software information is collected via WMI on the device and uploaded into your console.

Inventory can be useful to enable dynamic software deployment such as devices that have an old piece of software installed.}

Prerequisites

A device with at least 2 inventory scans

Discovery: Inventory Scan on a Single Device

	Starts the inventory scan.
	Current progress of the task.
	End result of the task.
	Current progress of the task as a percentage.
