ServiceNow Integration with Syxsense

Syxsense integration is designed to make it simple for ServiceNow helpdesk technicians to understand, modify and run repair operations on devices directly from ServiceNow.

This instant remediation dramatically reduces the time to ticket resolution.

  • Cortex Workflows: Workflows make it possible to control any combination of complex IT tasks including updating the registry, deploying multiple software packages, killing a service on a device. For complete details on all the capabilities of Cortex, refer to the Syxsense Cortex section of this guide. Any workflow written in Syxsense can be made available to the drop down in ServiceNow for execution.

Click the username in the right upper corner

Click Api Access tokens (Preview)

Generate and save a new Admin token with appropriate access rights

Login to Service Now

Move to Cortex Wizard:

'Please enter your Syxsense Api Token' is displayed

Enter the token

Schedule Import:

Select any day and start time

Click 'Finish'

After connecting your Syxsense API key to ServiceNow, all managed devices appear in ServiceNow under Configuration Computers. Click to drill down on any computer for further details.

Provides information on the patch and security state of the device:

Does it need patches?

Are there outstanding security issues. Health returns as Critical, High, Medium, Low or OK.

To deploy patches or remediate a security vulnerability you may run a Cortex Workflow with patch deploy directly to that device.

Workflows make it possible to control any combination of complex IT tasks including updating the registry, deploying multiple software packages, killing a service on a device, deploying patches, running powershell and much more.

Any workflow written in Syxsense can be made available to the drop down in ServiceNow for execution. You can see the workflow name and description as defined by your IT manager.

Select any device listed in ServiceNow rop-down Titlerop-down Title

From the upper right choose Syxsense Cortex Run
