Windows Agent Installation

Important Information The MSI can be installed on Windows-based devices and it requires that the person carrying out the install has administration rights on the device. The 'MicroAgent' should not be installed on a device that already has the Syxsense vRep agent installed on it; the two installers cannot exist on the same device. Please, note that manually installing the 'MicroAgent' on a device will circumnavigate the 'Device Exclusion' settings configured with Syxsense. |

Download the agent from the Windows MicroAgent Installer section. Some browsers block the download of the files; you may need to allow to proceed with the download. |

Execute the MSI under local system credentials. Running manually will by default be visible. Use standard MSI switched to make the installation more visible as needed. Installing MSI is possible with following parameters to configure SITELOCK and GROUPLOCK: ResponderSetup.msi /GROUPLOCKNAME="<InsertGroupNameHere>" This will install the agent into a specific group, this is very similar to the /SITELOCKNAME switch .\ResponderSetup.msi SITELOCKNAME='My Site Name' - in PowerShell .\ResponderSetup.msi SITELOCKNAME="My Site Name" - in CMD Or there can be group switches: .\ResponderSetup.msi GROUPLOCKNAME='My Group Name' - in PowerShell .\ResponderSetup.msi GROUPLOCKNAME="My Group Name" - in CMD |
